ARTIFACT Survey – StakeholdersWho do we mean by "Stakeholders"? In ARTIFACT, stakeholders are the driving forces, enablers, and decision-makers within the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) and the technological sector. We refer to any institution, organization, company, or professional whose work intersects with visual arts, cultural heritage, and digital innovation. By participating, you will help us draft policy recommendations, design targeted capacity-building programs, and foster a human-centric, fair approach to AI development in Europe. Target Stakeholder Categories We are looking for insights from a wide range of actors across the European creative and tech ecosystem, specifically: Cultural & Heritage Institutions: Museums, contemporary art galleries, archives, libraries, and art foundations. Creative Hubs & Production Centers: Art residencies, specialized workshops, foundries, and creative clusters. Educational & Research Bodies: Fine arts academies, universities, research centers focusing on human-computer interaction (HCI), and tech institutes. Tech Developers & AI Providers: Software engineers, IT companies, startups, and platforms developing digital tools for the creative sector. Professional Associations & Unions: Networks representing artists, designers, curators, and cultural managers, as well as copyright/IP protection agencies. Policy Makers & Public Authorities: Local, national, and European institutional representatives involved in cultural policy and digital regulation. The survey This survey is part of the ARTIFACT project (Creative Europe), which explores the relationship between artists and Artificial Intelligence, with a focus on advocacy and policy development. The aim is to identify key challenges, needs, and priorities, and to ensure that artists’ voices contribute to ongoing European debates on AI. The results will support the creation of a transnational network and inform a Position Paper with recommendations for policymakers. The survey takes approximately 10-12 minutes to complete.
